Techie froze and felt ice run through his veins. Why is Kylo Ren, of all people, talking to him?! The blood is pulsing so hard in his ears that he doesn’t even know what the man is saying, and can only stare blankly at him.
“Um, ah,” he says, very intelligently.
And then bolts for the nearest exit.
“Isn’t… Isn’t the L-Light usually a good thing? In n-nature terms, I mean. It’s beautiful, and it k-keeps us warm.” Techie spoke slowly, watching out the window at all the marvelous expanse of space.
“But the D-Dark, is, it’s-” Here he turns his eyes towards Ren once more and smiles. “It’s wonderful t-too! It frames the stars out th-there, and can help us feel safe and w-warm while we sleep.”
He grasps Ren’s upper arms and says, like a man on the verge of a breathrough, “So c-couldn’t the Dark and the Light both be good? To work together?”
