Sarah held him close. Then cupped his face with her hands and looked into his mechanical eyes. She caressed his cheeks with her thumbs and kissed him sweetly “I love you too, I love you” she thought for a moment. “I’m glad you told me about Matt, and I’m sorry for the way I reacted. I was just scared I was going to lose you. I love you so much, Techie. You’re my whole world” she kissed him again, with more passion.

He sagged against Sarah’s kiss, so relieved that all the things he meant to say slipped his mind. Defenses knocked down, Techie pulled her close and sobbed quietly for a good, long while. He’d almost ruined the best thing in his life, and wept with the knowledge that tomorrow, they’d be able to go on. A little differently, perhaps. But they would not end.
