He takes in Kylo’s words with a solemnity he doesn’t often show. “Me too, Kylo. Me too.” There’s an idea he’s struggling to put into words, and then he decides to just blurt it out: “I wish that we didn’t have to r-resort to all this fighting! Hux wants order, but couldn’t p-peace accomplish that too?”
“I don’t think it’s possible,” he shook his head. “The Republic is full of fools and needs to be shaken down. Hux uses brutal methods, yes, but little else can change things. So we need to fight now to be peaceful later.”
Techie deflates just a little. “Really? Well… Hux knows what he’s doing, and I owe everyth-thing to him and the First Order.” His cheeks color. “I shouldn’t complain!”
