Techie perked up, and his deathgrip on the datapad loosened. He shifted so he faced Armitage and tried to stop the muscles in his face from doing that embarrassing grin he hated. “Wh-what did he say? Oh stars, I’m still so s-scared!”
“No need to be scared,” Hux smiled. “We had a polite chat in which he told me to go stuff myself. He also said I am in no position to tell him who to get close to. I believe he blushed. It’s as close as a confession of interest as Ren could possibly get. I am sure he likes you quite a lot.”
Techie gaped uselessly for three seconds until he threw himself back onto the bed with an “Oof!” Out of his mind with glee, he laughed and squirmed around, knocking the blankets onto the floor. “This is the b-better news than I expected!” Techie grins.
Hux smiled and sat down next to him.
“I am glad you see this as good news,” he nodded. “Will you be okay going from here on your own?”
Quick as a whip, Techie sat up and nodded enthusiastically. He looked approximately 78% more alive and alert than before. “I’m going to t-try and ask him out on a date,” he says, hopeful.
