Techie hummed along, not quite accurately but as best he could. Having Sarah so near to him and safe was heaven. For years his default state of being had been summed up by “terrified” and finally, finally, that didn’t apply anymore. 

Thanks to Sarah, and to so many other kind people he’d met along the way, Techie had begun to build a comfortable, peaceful life. And he’d never before been happier!
