“Well hello, Billiam,” Kess beamed, pulling over a chair and sitting across from him at his workbench, “How are you?”

techiehux:

“B-Billiam?” Techie couldn’t stop the helpless laugh that slipped past his lips. That nickname was a first! He took in the woman’s appearance and scrunched up his brows in thought once the giggles dissolved. Hardly anyone approached him unless they knew Matt or wanted him to do their shift. She didn’t look like a tech, at least. “Are you… Matt’s f-friend?” Putting his toolbox aside to clear space on the workbench for her, Techie gave her a small, lopsided smile.

Techie presses his hands together in a praying position, palm-to-palm, and then rests his lips against the tops of his fingernails. This could either end very good or very bad. “Kess. I… accept. I’ll do it. But I need your w-word that this will be untraceable. My future with the First Order is on th-the line, here.”

My kids’ future. My future with Matt. It’s all in peril. But the payoff is worth the risk, isn’t it?

Thomas needs a new respirator, and surgery on his lungs if he can afford it. Zoe’s working her ass off to cover the bills.

Yeah. It’s worth it.

Techie sits up straighter and reaches his hand out. “Deal, Kess. Th-thank you.”
