🌹-Receive a rose from my muse

Techie had been staring at the rose Matt gave him for a good, solid hour. He kept sighing contentedly and running the soft pad of his thumb over the velvet petals. If only this rose were Matt; he’d touch him just as reverently.

❤️-Hold hands with my muse

“M-Matt, please,” Techie stammers, eyes wide with terror and knees knocking. It was a stupid, irrational fear: walking right through the center of this spacious lounge would not make him fall upwards into the ceiling. But something about open spaces made him want to throw up. And Matt, his darling Mattie, takes Techie’s hand and he’s not afraid anymore.

💘 -Ask my muse out on a date

There was no reason to be nervous. They’d gone on “dates” plenty before (as friends.) But this was it. Do or die. “Do you like c-caf?” he asks, sliding up next to Matt on his bed. If the answer is anything other than yes, Techie might choke on his own spit and die. He hadn’t planned what to say in the event of a negative! “We should. Uh. Get some.” He tries to look flirty… while hoping it’ll work.

💝-Have my muse kiss yours

Matt initiates their third kiss. They’re bashful around each other since the first two, and any clear lines have yet to be drawn. Are they in love? Budding friends with benefits? Neither is brave enough to ask. But Matt knows two things: 1) He’s madly in love with Techie, and 2) If he doesn’t kiss him again soon, he’s gonna die. So during an otherwise normal, every-day conversation, he leans forward and gives Techie another kiss. The kisses numbered 4-9 come soon after.

💞 -Receive a Valentines card from my muse

A small paper is slipped under his door at an unholy hour of the night. Thankfully, Techie rarely sleeps, and he pads over to the door with bare feet before leaning down to pick it up and squint. “Happy Valentine’s Day, Techie,” it says, in a very familiar handwriting. Techie’s face turns warm and he holds the card tenderly to his cheek. “Thank you, Mattie.”
