Because I was, and this fandom hasn’t got shit on that.

Maybe you don’t get recced as much as other authors. Maybe you don’t get as many notes as other artists. Maybe people don’t come and talk to you as much as others.

You know what? Neither do I. I don’t get on rec lists. I only get a few notes, but so what? Fandom isn’t a fucking popularity contest. We’re here because we love the characters, the validation should honestly just be a nice bonus.

And you know what? There are people in this fandom I can’t stand. There are people who I look at their work and it does nothing for me, or it actively pisses me off. You know what I do? I blacklist them. I block them. I ignore them and don’t reblog them.

What I don’t do is send them and their friends anon hate because I’m not a fucking child in the playground.

Be the content you want to see. Write the fic, write the rec lists of the unknown fics, draw your freaky ass porn, go and talk to people! Ignore the content you don’t want to see. Get on with your life but remember fandom is what YOU make it.
