Even though Hux got completely beat in TLJ I feel like it only added to his character development. He is trying to be strong and ruthless throughout both tlj and tfa but really he is young and small and no matter how loud he shouts, he knows he will never be as physically powerful as Kylo or Snoke. I like that we see him try to shoot kylo towards the end of tlj as I think we all know it’s Hux’s desire for power which makes him dangerous and yet he doesn’t need force powers to make him deadly.
