For my dear @techiehux

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I’m sorry it’s not finished, things didn’t work out like I wanted to. I will finish it though!

It had been over a year since the timid redhead had been rescued from the gang that he had been forced to work for. He was finally starting to acclimate to being in a safe place where no one would threaten him or otherwise mistreat him.

He was extremely thankful that his twin brother and his husband had found and rescued him.

He didn’t know exactly what had happened, Armitage refused to tell him, but he knew that they had “taken care of” Ma-Ma and her thugs. They wouldn’t be bothering him ever again.

The man in question, Techie he went by (he hated his real name), was currently sitting on the couch with his knees pulled up to his chest. He had a warm blanket draped over him and his cat, a calico named Calli, snuggled next to him.

“Do you want some tea?”, came a question from the direction of the kitchen.

Soon after, a tall, curly-haired blonde man stepped in.

Jumping slightly, as he came out of his daydreaming Techie turned slightly to look at his boyfriend.

“Oh, yes t-that would be nice. Thank you, Mattie.”, he answered quietly.

Though he was doing much better, Techie was still jumpy and very soft spoken. He still had panic attacks as well.

Matt smiled. “Sure thing.”

After a little bit, Matt came back with some steaming tea. It was in Techie’s favorite mug – it had a little fox on it and said “Zero fox given”.

He held out his hands and took the warm mug with a smile. He then brought it to his face and took a deep breath, taking in the smell of it.

Matt loved all the little things like that Techie did; he found them endearing.

“Are you warm enough?”, Matt asked.

He knew that Techie got chilled easily, especially with it being winter.

“Mm-hmm.”

Careful not to spill his tea, or disturb Calli, Techie unfolded his legs and sat up.

Matt smiled, even with the oversized sweater that he was wearing, a rounded out belly could be seen. He was finally putting on weight.

While he was in the clutches of Ma-Ma’s gang she all but starved the poor man.

Matt sat down next to him, carefully avoiding Calli.

“How are you feeling today?”, he asked gently.

Yesterday had been a rough day for Techie. They had gone out for a meal and something to drink at a small out of the way place. All good things, but when a loud group came in he had a panic attack. A bad one.

Matt had to quickly, and carefully get Techie out of there. It was difficult with him freaking out like he was, plus when he was like that he couldn’t be touched – it only made things worse.

In addition, Matt had to keep his temper in check. He wanted to do something to those assholes that caused Techie to panic like this.

“I-i’m fine.”, he answered.

Matt gently placed a hand on the smaller man’s shoulder, he could feel him shaking a little. The blonde began to rub his shoulder in a soothing fashion.

Techie hummed contentedly and leaned into his hand.

Matt rubbed his thumb on Techie’s cheek before running it down the smaller man’s back and to his belly.

“I’m glad that you’re putting on weight.”, he said giving that belly a pat.

Techie’s cheeks turned red as he ducked his head.

“No, I’m serious. You were way too skinny.”
