soon called Solo Thai Ice Cream and it made me think of a BenArmie highschool
AU where home-schooled Ben works in the family-owned shop that also happens to be frequently
visited by Hux (because it has his favorite flavor, or because of the tall,
handsome, dark-haired boy working behind the counter? hmm😏)

At promptly nine o’clock, Ben hops over
the counter (a feat perfected thanks to long lanky legs and months of practice)
and turns the OPEN sign off. Turning on his heel, he grins at Hux. “C’mon,
I wanna show you something.”

Hux follows wordlessly as Ben guides
him behind the counter and into the chilly back room. “There’s a new flavor we’re
experimenting with,” he tells Hux as he pulls the appropriate tub from the
freezer. “Want to try it?”

Hux ignores the fact that he’s out
later than usual – Brendol will surely give him an earful about it, despite the
fact that he’s a junior and the shop is just a few blocks away – and instead
studies the way Ben’s hair curls distractingly around his large ears. “Yeah. Of
course.”

Ben grins again, and Hux’s stomach does
flops.
