Hux is a contortionist and trapeze artist who was born into the First Order Circus. It’s his home and once Snoke dies it’ll be his business because he’s worked to hard to see anything jeopardise everything they’ve built.

Which is why he can’t stand Snoke’s new hire- the melodramatic masked magician Kylo Ren. He’s also seen him in the showers and how dare such an arsehole be so godsdamn beautiful. But mostly Hux hates him (not so much when he’s alone in his trailer…) though most of all he hates the way Kylo stares at him all time.

Kylo is more than a little smitten with the contortionist but he’s not sure if it’s the flexibility or the attitude that attracts him most. Either way Kylo really should focus on settling into the only job he’s ever felt comfortable in. He’s a great slight of hand and pyrotechnic magician, not least because of his secret. The secret that would probably get him dissected at Area 51 if anyone ever found out- Kylo can do real magic.

When Hux slips and falls from the trapeze during a show without a safety net all Kylo’s self preservation instinct vanishes. But how can he explain the way Hux stopped six inches above the sand and sawdust floor…
