Armitage was raised by his mother and grandmother on the Outer Rim planet of Arkanis. Having been marginalized by both the Empire and the New Republic, the Arkani people do not care for any part of the 36-year-long military occupation. They continue to fish, tend their capras, and keep mostly to themselves.
When the New Republic’s military presence increases in expectation of another civil war, tensions rise sharply between the two peoples. And Armitage, still a young man and living on both sides of the 12’ fence, is forced to choose between two worlds that have never been fully his.
