🌴🌴🌴summer░vibes (ヽヨそ)🌴🌴🌴 This really, really puts me in the mood for some outdoor pool action … But other than that, I curse 2018’s heatwave in central Europe. Ah well, at least this happened! Hux really rocks those speedos. 💦💦💦
I got really overwhelmed with the detailing on the water’s surface towards the end, I could have easily spent another 2 hours on it alone but I wanted to post this as long as it was still summer, hah.
Originally I wanted to give him sunglasses, but I didn’t want to cover up his eyes AND didn’t want to lose the glasses, so you got glasses!Hux now.
This is likely the most colorful and bright piece of art I’ve ever done.
“Sorry I’m a few minutes late,” Clyde began with an endearingly sheepish smile at his date, scratching at the back of his head. “Y’see, I was shootin’ to leave the house ‘round four, but I couldn’t get my dang tie on right. Had to give that up, so I hope you’ll forgive the incomplete outfit. Then, when I was drivin’ through town, I realized I didn’t have nothin’ nice to give you, what with it bein out first date and all. So I stopped in a shop on the way over, thinkin it’d be a quick in-out, but you know how that goes when you’re in a hurry to be someplace.”
“They’re lovely, thank you,” they reply with a smile of their own. “And you look just fine. We’re heading to the fair, not a fancy restaurant or anything like that.”
“I reckon you’re right, I just want to make today special,” he chuckled, clearly relieved by your response.
“It already is. Now, let’s get these in a vase and head out, I don’t wanna miss the tractor pull,” they urged, nabbing the flowers and leaning up to kiss his cheek.
Clyde touched the spot they kissed and watched them return inside, his smile softening: how were they so perfect?
Calling all Star Wars shippers! I’ve been percolating on an interesting idea over the last week, and I’m looking for input from the Star Wars shipping community to help me flesh it out. Essentially, I want to conduct some research into the history of shipping as a fannish activity in the Star Wars fandom.
This survey was built with the goal of getting input from as wide a range of shippers as possible, going right back to people who jumped on the Han/Leia train after seeing Star Wars for the first time in 1977 through to fans negotiating the romantic prospects of Finn, Rey, Poe and Kylo Ren in 2018.
This is just a preliminary survey intended to gauge the landscape and get a range of responses – the Star Wars shipping landscape is very broad, and I do not want my research to focus on any single ship or period of fandom history.
While the nature of Tumblr and my follower base means I expect the majority of the responses to this to be from people who entered the Star Wars shipping scene with the sequel trilogy movies, I am extremely interested in hearing from anyone who was involved in the fandom from the start (whether through zines or snail mail) and those who were active in the early days of the internet and were sucked in through the romantic entanglements of the prequel trilogy. If you know any more established fans with these kind of experiences, please do pass a link to this survey on to see if they’d be interested in taking part.
Nonetheless, if you’re a shipper in the Star Wars community, I welcome your response – whoever you ship, and whenever you started shipping. No ship is too small, and no experience is too trivial! At the end of the survey you have the option of leaving your contact details if you are happy for me to reach out with follow-up questions, but this is strictly optional and you do not need to leave contact information unless you are happy to be contacted.
He has a black eye because he got into a bar fight. He really didn’t want to spill his drink all over that scary looking guy in a cowboy hat – unfortunately, his clumsy self couldn’t help it. At least there was a barman who was kind enough to save him from getting his nose broken. And who took him home because he blacked out.
