He quickly closed the door behind him and locked it, slumping against it and staring at the girl with wide, whirring eyes.

“A-are… Are you h-hungry?” Techie asked at last. His hands shook by his side despite the fact that he’d clenched them into tight fists and pressed them, hard, into his sides.

She was sure no-one was around. She hoped no-one was around. As far as she knew, she was alone at least for now and she wasn’t going to let the opportunity slide. Thinking more with her stomach, than her head, Naomi lowered her guard as she settled her teeth into… something. Naomi wasn’t sure what it was but it had the texture of bread with barely any taste.

‘Who cares what it is.-’ She thought between bites. ‘It’s food.’

It was much too late for William “Bill” Huxley to still be on the job, but here he was: beyond exhausted and heading to check up on the temperature control in ALL the food storage rooms on the Finalizer.

It went without saying that he really, *really* needed this job. And a raise.

He waved at some troopers who patrolled the outside corridor, only one of which acted like he existed. A plastic smile was fixed on his face by the time he entered in his technician override code to enter the consumables’ room.

And then he promptly froze as he realized he wasn’t alone.

Sarah hadn’t slept so well in years. She yawned, she was still very sleepy but she had to go to work. She admired techie asleep, he looked so peaceful, almost like an angel. She gave him a sweet kiss to his cheek “good morning my sweetheart” she smiled.

Techie decided as soon as he heard her voice that this was how he’d like to wake up everyday for the rest of his life. (Even though his arm was numb and he’d drooled into his pillow a little bit.)

“Ahaha, ewwww,” he laughed, playfully swatting Sarah away. “Get away from me! My morning breath will kill you!” Despite his words he was snuggling his face into the crook of her neck.

Techie and Adeline Hux [Closed] [Part 3]

“We can s-sleep when we’re on the ship,” he assured her, before slinging her against his chest so she could nuzzle her face against the crook of his neck. With the other hand, he checked his pocket. Did he have any credits with him?

Thankfully, he did, and used them to pay their passage back home. Now to get settled in for the ride.

☎- drunk, questionable voicemail message

Kylo pressed a small button on his helmet, brows furrowed at the message. He knew who, just not wide. It played quietly to him inside the helmet, and thank the stars he was wearing it. He’s was three shades of red and fairly concerned.

He stalked down to the levels of the ship where he likely lived and using the information he could conjure up in the ship’s data bank found his room.

“What was that?!” He balked, still more embarrassed than anything, but at least hidden.

“I DO unders-s-stand! When a bird and a b-bee feel very w-warm inside, then-” His iron grip loosened suddenly and he fell backwards onto the mattress like a rag doll. It was getting hard to keep his eyes open.

“Th-then the Ren has to… He’s g-got to- mmm.” Techie felt himself sink into the covers as if it was quicksand. His eyelids seemed to weigh more than his body and his eyes crossed.

Even a gallon of energy drinks couldn’t protect him from the eventual crash.

As he was on the brink of sleep, he held out his arms towards Ren and made grabby hands.

A flash of red caught his eye. There weren’t that many red-heads around after all. “Hux! We need to discuss–” his vocoder voice cut off mid sentence as he finally got a decent look at the man. It wasn’t the General, but… “How…? Who are you?” he demanded. -kylocanyounot

Techie froze and felt ice run through his veins. Why is Kylo Ren, of all people, talking to him?! The blood is pulsing so hard in his ears that he doesn’t even know what the man is saying, and can only stare blankly at him.

“Um, ah,” he says, very intelligently.

And then bolts for the nearest exit.

Techie’s brows furrowed. “Why would you h-have to kill something so beautiful?” He squinted at Ren, confused. Without realizing it, he began running the pad of his calloused thumb over Ren’s knuckles as he thought.

Finally he asked, “Is th-this a Force thing?” A little embarrassed at his lack of knowledge, Techie smiled sheepishly up at him and bit his bottom lip. “S-sorry, but I’m out of my element.”

He met Ren’s intense gaze with his own hopeful one. “I’d like to know, th-though.”
