Kylo looked down at the man, he sneered a bit. He knelt down to his level and gave a small smirk “Anything? You mean that do you? What do you have to offer me, pathetic man?” he held his hair to make him look at him in the eyes.Â
He eased himself onto the bed at Ren’s insistence, running his fingers over the fabric and then gripping it hard. “I’m T-Techie. And I n-never got to find out wh-what happened to her. I was r-released before the J-Judges could get to h-her,” he confessed, defeated. Most nights he couldn’t sleep, wondering if she’d slip into his room once more.
“I know wh-who you a-are, Lord Ren. Hux, I- uh, I mean, the General, keeps me up to d-date.” His cheeks color. It’s strange to be invited to call such a powerful man by his first name.
He meets Ren’s gaze from below his orange eyelashes. “M-my memories? Y-you can help?”
“A-addie? Ad-ddie? Addie! Wh-why are y-you s-so small? Are you o-okay?” He clutches onto her as if for dear life, cradling her close to his chest.
“My b-baby girl,” he sobs.
She looked at him confused because she didn’t know who he was
“It’s T-Techie, remember? Un- uncle Techie? Y-your papa?” His eyes get wider and wider. This can’t be happening!
Techie hadn’t been having a good day. Not at all. Matt was nowhere to be found, Hux was busy doing who knows what, and his supervisor, Leslie, absolutely hated his guts. Which was why he jumped at the chance to get away from the monotony (and Leslie’s whining), accepting a recently requested job he hadn’t even looked at.
The last thing he expected was to find himself outside Lieutenant Mitaka’s quarters and realize he left his toolbox…somewhere? But it was too late to go find it, he’d knocked on the door and now it was opening!
“O-okay,” Techie pants. “You win.” Feeling lightheaded and warm, he leans against Mitaka’s shoulder and lets out a long exhale. “I s-st-still don’t get *why* though,” he confesses, and buries his nose into the crook of his neck.
“We’ve n-never even talked.”

The vaccuum makes a high-pitched suction sound and Techie scrambles to pull it out of the pipe. His gaze darts from Ren to the sonic and then back again.
“I was in a g-gang,” he says. “Not by choice. The l-leader, she- M-MaMa- scooped m-my eyes o-out like icecream w-with her own,” a shuddering sob, “Her own F-F-FUCKING FINGERS.”
His hands shake as he retracts the tube and tucks it into his toolbelt. “I didn’t earn th-them. They w-were a p-p-punishment.”

“Yes! I r-really, um, I m-mean… yes, I d-do,” Techie blushes. He’s turning so red someone might mistake him for one of those old-timey Earth fire extinguishers. “And I p-plan to,” he adds shyly, but looks up from the ground and fixes his gaze on his brother, brows furrowed. “But don’t y-you like her too?”
That bothers him more than anything. He knows Hux doesn’t have many good things in his life. Can Techie really go off to his own “happily ever after” with the girl of his brother’s dreams? SHOULD he?
“I’ll b-be in a s-suit, then,” Techie whispers, imagining himself all dressed up and dazzling Phasma. “Armie, you’ll h-help me pick something to w-wear, won’t you?” Techie’s getting into the idea of marriage after only dating for a few weeks.

Techie looks contemplative for a moment. “D-does she *like* tradition th-though? D’you kn-know?” Something about Phasma struck him as more of a non-traditional person.

Techie stays perfectly still. His eyes focus on Mitaka’s forehead and then drop steadily down. “Uh,” he says, intelligently. “D-do that a-again,” Techie breathes, “I w-wasn’t totally c-c-convinced.” He turns a delightful pink.
