Seems like it’s a slow day today. My friends are all busy and there isn’t anything to do except sit around. Maybe I’ll catch up on my sleep (with the help of some melatonin pills because insomnia is a little shit!)

For the first time in years, Techie wasn’t afraid. With his daughter by his side, he knew there would always be a happy ending just around the corner.
The End.
Jaw dropping, he stammers for a few seconds before whooping with glee! “I’ll be the best d-dad ever, Addie! I promise w-w-with all my heart!”
Hux stops in his tracks and whips around. He calls out to Techie, “You’ll be a better father than Brendol or I ever was.” There is no malice in his voice. Only thinlh-veiled pain. Finding out you grew up to be your abusive father will do that to you.
“Th-thank you, Armitage,” Techie breathes. One small step at a time for the both of them.
He knelt down in front of her and gazed deeply into her eyes. With a (for once) steady hand he pushed an errant bang behind her ear. “Addie, I n-never ever thought that of y-you. No matter wh-what anybody else s-says you are so great a-and I *love* you.“
As soon as he says those three words, Techie realizes just how true it is.
“If you’d let m-me,” here he pauses, unsure, “I’d like to be y-your dad. Of-officially. With papers and ev-everything!”
He’s so scared she’ll say no.
In the distance, Hux watches, not moving at all.
She sighed “like General Hux says im of no use im a burden I should of thrown myself over the bridge ” she said to him it was the first time she ever called her father by rank and last name
"Th-that’s a fucking l-lie,” he says, angered. “Addie, you deserve f-for good things to h-happen to you!”
Then he adds, more sadly, “We b-both do.”
Something akin to guilt and pain flashes in Hux’s eyes. He stiffly walks away and leaves them to their moment.

“Sorry, s-sorry,” he laughed and gently placed her down. “How are y-you feeling, A-Adeline? I mean, r-really *really* feeling?” Techie was concerned but so glad she seemed alright!
