I’m sorry it’s not finished, things didn’t work out like I wanted to. I will finish it though!
It had been over a year since the timid redhead had been rescued from the gang that he had been forced to work for. He was finally starting to acclimate to being in a safe place where no one would threaten him or otherwise mistreat him.
He was extremely thankful that his twin brother and his husband had found and rescued him.
He didn’t know exactly what had happened, Armitage refused to tell him, but he knew that they had “taken care of” Ma-Ma and her thugs. They wouldn’t be bothering him ever again.
The man in question, Techie he went by (he hated his real name), was currently sitting on the couch with his knees pulled up to his chest. He had a warm blanket draped over him and his cat, a calico named Calli, snuggled next to him.
“Do you want some tea?”, came a question from the direction of the kitchen.
Soon after, a tall, curly-haired blonde man stepped in.
Jumping slightly, as he came out of his daydreaming Techie turned slightly to look at his boyfriend.
“Oh, yes t-that would be nice. Thank you, Mattie.”, he answered quietly.
Though he was doing much better, Techie was still jumpy and very soft spoken. He still had panic attacks as well.
Matt smiled. “Sure thing.”
After a little bit, Matt came back with some steaming tea. It was in Techie’s favorite mug – it had a little fox on it and said “Zero fox given”.
He held out his hands and took the warm mug with a smile. He then brought it to his face and took a deep breath, taking in the smell of it.
Matt loved all the little things like that Techie did; he found them endearing.
“Are you warm enough?”, Matt asked.
He knew that Techie got chilled easily, especially with it being winter.
“Mm-hmm.”
Careful not to spill his tea, or disturb Calli, Techie unfolded his legs and sat up.
Matt smiled, even with the oversized sweater that he was wearing, a rounded out belly could be seen. He was finally putting on weight.
While he was in the clutches of Ma-Ma’s gang she all but starved the poor man.
Matt sat down next to him, carefully avoiding Calli.
“How are you feeling today?”, he asked gently.
Yesterday had been a rough day for Techie. They had gone out for a meal and something to drink at a small out of the way place. All good things, but when a loud group came in he had a panic attack. A bad one.
Matt had to quickly, and carefully get Techie out of there. It was difficult with him freaking out like he was, plus when he was like that he couldn’t be touched – it only made things worse.
In addition, Matt had to keep his temper in check. He wanted to do something to those assholes that caused Techie to panic like this.
“I-i’m fine.”, he answered.
Matt gently placed a hand on the smaller man’s shoulder, he could feel him shaking a little. The blonde began to rub his shoulder in a soothing fashion.
Techie hummed contentedly and leaned into his hand.
Matt rubbed his thumb on Techie’s cheek before running it down the smaller man’s back and to his belly.
“I’m glad that you’re putting on weight.”, he said giving that belly a pat.
He should have expected it, Hux sighed. He could see the madness behind Ren’s eyes, flaring with every glance in his direction, the tics and little twitches.
And then the muttering had started.
“Watching and waiting. Need to keep him close.”
Now as he lay awake, fists clenched in the fabric of his sheets, Hux wondered just how far this was going to go. Ren lay behind him, one arm securely wrapped around his waist, holding Hux tight against his chest. He knew he should protest, but truth be told, the warmth was not unwelcome. Ren was solid, a steady pressure rising and falling with every breath, almost soothing. Still though, for the sake of his pride, Hux had to say something.
“Supreme Leader, is this really necessary.” It was token resistance and he knew it.
Ren shifted, pressing his nose to the base of Hux’s skull and breathing deep. His voice was low and velvet soft, “I know your mind, Hux. I know you want to betray me. That is why I’m keeping you close.”
“If you keep me any closer you’ll be inside of me.” Hux whispered and felt the smallest gasp against his skin.
“Would you like that, Hux? I can do that.” Ren’s voice had changed, a hint of uncertainty worming its way into the deep tones. Hux groaned internally, hating the thrill that had shot through him at those words. He dug his fingers into the blanket, curling it further around him in a protective cocoon.
“Fuck you, Ren.”
“That could work, too. If you want to. Do you want to?”
Hot breath made the hair rise on the back of Hux’s neck, sending shivers down every inch of his spine.
Ren was mad, he knew that, more and more delusions clouding his already fractured mind.
And yet…the undisguised eagerness in Ren’s voice sparked someting within Hux, something he could perhaps use.
“You like this, don’t you Ren? You like having someone close.” Hux said shifting his hips, sliding his ass up and down the length of Ren’s cock, half-hard and already starting to twitch. “Are you lonely, Supreme Leader?”
Ren shuddered, pulling Hux even closer and pressing his lips to his neck. His hand trailed across Hux’s stomach, leading down to brush across his thigh.
Hux took Ren’s hand in his own, twining their fingers together and bringing it to his lips. Feeling Ren’s pulse quicken beneath his fingertips, he smiled into the darkness.
“Come now, Ren, let me keep you close.”
Look at this wonderful addition! I love this so much!
Hux doesn’t remember the last time he felt so good. His whole body is comfortably numb and it feels as if he was covered in cotton – as if his whole body changed to cotton and he had no more worry in the world.
He tries to open his eyes but they are heavy, too heavy and the world behind them is too bright.
Then he feels a warm hand dancing over his eyelids and once again, he slips into blissful nothingness.
The next time he wakes up, it hurts. His head, his whole body, his left side feels as of it was on fire. There is fire somewhere deep within him and he wants it to stop, wants it to stop burning, stinging, hurting.
He thinks that he cries out at some point, but he can’t be sure. Everything is too fuzzy, too unclear, as if he was seeing the world through tainted glass.
Someone sits down next to him and lays a comforting hand over his chest. There is a short, stinging pain in his elbow and something is laid over his nose and mouth.
He falls asleep again.
A short piece from that “Hux’s parents are good, caring people” I am writing 😀
Summary: Ren admits this, all of this, is far from under control.
Written for the @keepinghimclose event to celebrate the TLJ novelization.
Notes:
This started as 5 times Hux tried to kill Ren, and one time he succeeded. I couldn’t bring myself to follow through with the character death, so *spoiler alert* that doesn’t actually happen. I ended up with hate sex, lots of messy feelings and a Millicent guest appearance. Also, I’m pretty sure there are more than 5 attempts to kill Ren… In conclusion, I failed at my own prompt. *shrugs* Enjoy?
1.
It’s all under control.
Ren releases the Force hold he has on Hux. He only meant to keep him still long enough to prove something to both of them—this can be good, they can be good for each other when it’s slow and deliberate, rolling toward something deeper rather than their usual sudden collision, two starships tearing each other into oblivion, crushed into the background of an empty sky.
Hux rolls them, squirming from under Ren’s body. He claws his way on top of Ren, digging his knees in and growling when he slides down Ren’s cock once again.
Shaking with angry need, Hux gets his hot fingers around Ren’s neck. Applies pressure with his palms into either side of Ren’s windpipe and pushes, bearing down with his whole body. It isn’t enough to completely restrict Ren’s breathing, but the possibility of it makes Ren heave, anticipating the moment when Hux will go too far and Ren will have to stop him.
He wasn’t enjoying the bliss of hot water washing away the sludge from his skin for whole five minutes when the booth partition squeaked open. He cursed when the chilly air hit his heated skin and then yelped when the cold was immediately replaced by the heat of another body plastering itself along his back.
“Get out. You’re making me dirty again.”
“Ask nicely and I’ll make you dirty allright,” Ren mouthed into the skin on Hux’s nape.
It had started out as merely sexual, just as so much of
their relationship had. Two sets of gnashing teeth intent on consuming the
other with the promise of ‘just this once’ perpetually falling from their
swollen and split lips. Yet over time their oft violent and drunken nights took
on a form of routine. They began to learn what made the other tick – and more
importantly what made them twitch. Hux could not say how they fell into these
roles they had made for themselves. His only claim was that he did not submit
without a fight.
The total relinquishing of control had been always been a
deep fear of the General’s. Ren had of course relished in taking advantage of
this. Neither had expected Hux to do the same. It had become the centerpiece of
their sexual relationship. When Hux knelt before Kylo he was stripped of his
title, his pride, of all of it until only Armitage was left. Firm hands and
thick leather eased his mind of all his troubles. Reduced only to sensations Hux learned how to breathe again.
But as weeks turned to months Hux found it bleeding into
other aspects of his daily life. What had once been limited to collars and gags
became the firm sensation of an invisible hand on his shoulder when the Supreme
Leader so casually insulted him; a grip at the back of his neck when an
unprofessional comment threatened to snap back at some unsuspecting tech on the
bridge. In the privacy of his quarters when reports of damage and loss in the
wake of battle threatened to send him into a spiraling panic, the closing
around his throat silenced the cacophonous noise inside his head until there
was only peace left.
Hux stood in the fresher, staring down at the pregnancy test in his hands. He had tried ignoring the morning sickness, telling himself it was just stress. He tried ignoring his tiredness, saying it was just exhaustion from over working.
He couldn’t ignore the proof in his hands.
He should have known better. Known that during heats no birth control was 100%. Kylo refused to wear condoms and Hux didn’t fight him on the issue. Kylo was supreme leader now, and Hux was nothing. Nothing but an Omega to sedate the new leaders primal desires.
Hux knew their rivalry would bring them to this if Kylo ever got the upper hand. It was the final way to bully Hux into submission, to show everyone in the Order that Kylo was in charge; always had been.
Hux would be lying if he said the sex wasn’t good. In the throes of heat Kylo had been the perfect lover, albeit a tad rougher than he liked.
Sighing, he tossed the stick in the trash.
He would have to do something about this.
****
Days turned into weeks, and Hux still had not dealt with it. His initial desire to get rid of it before Kylo found out faded every time he walked by the med bay. It felt like some primal betrayal to the being forming inside of him; It wasn’t the child’s fault that Kylo ren was it’s father.
He missed his next two heats, and it was only a matter of time before the Supreme leader noticed. When his comm finally chimed with a message from Kylo, demanding a meeting in the throne room, Hux knew that day was now.
He tried to keep his thoughts closed and his fear in check as he entered, not letting any hint of his distress show as he kneeled before Kylo. Yet he knew why he was here. Kylo would be a fool to not have noticed by now; even the Omega’s scent had changed.
“How long did you think you could hide this?” Kylo said impassively from the throne. His indifferent tone only made Hux more uneasy. “I can smell it on you. Your pregnant. You’re so distraught you can’t even hide your panic right now.”
“Supreme leader I-”
“Enough.” Kylo said, standing from his throne. Hux stood as well, taking a protective step back as Kylo walked toward him. Hux instinctively put a hand over his stomach, afraid Kylo might attack him as he got closer.
This action did not go unnoticed by Kylo, who frowned as he stopped in front of Hux. “Who was it?” Kylo demanded, reaching out and grasping Hux’s jaw in his hand. Hux faltered, flinching slightly as Kylo’s firm hand held him still.
“I don’t understand.” Hux replied, fear growing. He knew Kylo didn’t like it when he didn’t get direct answers, even if Hux didn’t know what he was talking about.
“You know what. Who did you fuck. Tell me so I can kill them for tainting my toy. I can pry it from your mind Hux, you cannot lie to me.” Kylo hissed, his grip tightening.
Hux couldn’t help but laugh, despite being terrified.
“Who else? Do you think anyone on this ship is foolish enough to sleep with your pet?” Hux said, pulling away as Kylo’s grip on him loosened.
“The baby…it’s yours.” Hux added softly.
The Alpha looked as if he truly had not expected to be the father after everything they had done. Kylo was always so focused on Hux’s possible betrayal that he couldn’t see what was right in front of him. It would have been hilarious if Hux wasn’t still afraid. They were not an item. Not equals. There was no telling what Kylo would do about this news, or to their unborn child.
“How far along?”
“Three months.”
The air was tense, and an uneasy silence followed. Hux was about to speak when Kylo suddenly took his hand, pulling him close.
“May I?” Kylo asked, his gloved hand hovering over Hux’s stomach. Hux simply nodded, more shocked that the Alpha even asked permission.
Kylo pressed his hand softly to Hux belly. The Omega was still flat, but he knew he would be showing soon. His frame was small and left no room to hide anything.
“I can feel it…with the force. It is mine, it’s small…but…it has a force signature.” Kylo said, amusement in his voice. Hux couldn’t help but finally relax. Kylo seemed interested, or at least intrigued. It was a good sign for the baby’s safety.
“I was…afraid of how you would react.” He admitted.
“I won’t harm you, Hux. Or our child.” Kylo said, pulling his hand back. He took Hux’s hand again, stroking it softly with his thumb.
Hux sighed softly. It was a start. It wasn’t love, but it was a promise of protection. He could work with that. Maybe he could learn to love the Alpha, and the same in return. Maybe they could one day stop this petty rivalry.
