“No don’T -”
The technician throws his arms up defensively at the invasion and sucks in a frantic breath.
“DO N-n-NOT TOUCH ME!” His wailing voice breaks and his hands ball into fists, nails digging into his own palms.
Sudden unconsented touches always remind him of Her. Memories of violating hands and a cruel blade hovering behind his work chair waiting for him to make a mistake- and he always makes mistakes- stupid STUPID BOY- Techie realizes he’s started shaking uncontrollably.
“Why- why would you do th-that?”
Techie can barely breathe as he attempts to forcefully blink his eyes and remind himself that he is not- and never will be- back in Peachtrees. Trauma grips his lungs within his chest and it burns terribly until he becomes aware he hasn’t taken a breath.
Techie does not like to be touched, certainly not suddenly and intimately without his permission; it’s as if the breif contact has burned him.
It is entirely too long before he manages a shuddering inhale.
Phasma thinks Techie is absolutely darling, and she loves how sweet he is. She even asks him for tips on fixing items such as her blasters and other hardware she might need. Whenever Techie is distressed, he can always come to Phasma for a chat about whatever’s on his mind. Sometimes, she’ll even sing to him.
Kylo likes Techie as well, Techie’s even helped Kylo build some of his own stuff and enhance his lightsaber. Kylo hates to admit it, but he feels guilty for taking Techie for granted at times. They often talk a lot after hours, and Techie is one of the few people that has seen Kylo laugh.
Hux is proud of his younger brother, especially when he’s helping people with different things. Techie had also expressed interest in taking up saxophone, so Hux taught him how to play. Techie was surprised when he received a gleaming alto for his birthday, and he knew who it was from. Also, since Hux established a band for events and stuff, he has Techie play with them and take some solos.

•Techie’s anxiety, low self esteem, and timidness are a product of being raised by an emotionally abusive father as is Armitage’s assertive, competitive, and over-ambitious disposition.
•Armitage acts as the older sibling most of the time. He can sense when Techie is feeling overwhelmed (social anxiety) and intervenes, which Techie is grateful for.
•Techie knows his brother better than he knows himself. He recognizes when Armitage is getting too stressed out and needs to vent, but knows that his brother will not come to him on his own. Techie knows just what to say to get Armitage to open up.
•Techie is very sensitive & is openly affectionate towards those he cares about.
•Armitage has a hard time identifying his own emotions and showing affection.

+ In the mornings, before he’s fully awake, he doesn’t shake or stutter. Later when he’s alert, all the trauma will rush back to him and he’ll start up again 😢
+ Techie loves to hold hands with the very few people he trusts because it helps ground him to his current reality instead of bad memories and he feels safer ☺
+ Matt and Techie are President and Vice President, respectively, of the only Kylo Ren Fanclub on the Finalizer. (He joined to make Matt happy ❤)
+ General Hux and the Knights of Ren occasionally crash their club meetings (Hux with a “valid reason” every time of course) and Techie hates it 😂
