I lack some twists for a coherent story, so decided to leave it as an idea. And it sounds a bit huxcest, so I remembered @techiehux

So, TLD Techienician sad stuff. Modern au.

Hux brothers separated when their parents divorced. Techie lived poor, his Ma developed a drinking habit, he ran away with a guy, which turned only to worse, cos the man abused Techie.

He found Armitage in Instagram, where he showed his shiny life in a big city: views from the private jet, selfies from the private gym and so on. Techie refreshes the page and watches pictures as a movie of some unattainable life. Unexpectantly Armitage answers to his friend request and later starts chatting with the brother, usually when he is a little drunk. But only drunk on the best wines, you know.

Turns out, he has founded a start-up developing drone technologies and not only successfully sold it to a major arms manufacturer, but married the CEO as well. That man is so ancient, as if he personally lobbied the Second Amendment. But Armitage also boasts a shredded young lover working for a private military contractor.

Once, when Techie goes home from a shop, he spots police surrounding the building and runs away. He learns from news that his partner was arrested, but some of his friends managed to escape. He can’t return home and uses the last money to buy a bus ticket and travel to Armitage. He doesn’t know his address, only finds the building where he works. He knows from Hux Instagram routine, at what time he leaves for lunch and risks to approach him. To his surprise Armitage is concerned and helpful, he cares, finds him a place to live, helps with the documents and job.

They spend time together, go to movies and cafes, sometimes Hux stays overnight. He still talks about his wonderful life, but never invites Techie home. Techie thinks that his brother, probably, is ashamed of him or smth. Until he starts noticing things – a yellowish trace of a bruise, stiff movements, sudden choice of turtlenecks…

Hey, Matt the Radar, I have no idea where you enters the story, but you are welcomed!

Actually, I have an idea how Matt meets with Hux brothers! This really happened to my friend who has a not very good eye-sight.

Imagine, Matt just got a promotion and rented an apartment in a better place. On the very first day he has met his neighbor – nice shy redhead in a baggy pants and oversized t-shirt. The neighbor said hello coyly, and Matt decided that his new place is perfect, and he’d like to meet with this guy more often.

But next time he sees him, the redhead is dressed in a suit, his hair is gelled to his head, and he reacts to Matt’s loud “Hello” as if he saw a talking piece of shit.

Matt is disappointed and doesn’t understand what happened. But next time he sees the neighbor – he is sweet and friendly once again.

That strange changes stop him from approaching the redhead with any offers, he just learns to avoid him in his suit-mood and is happy to meet him in a baggy-pants-mood. He even uses the neighbor as a kind of omen. If he meets him in a suit – the day will be shitty. Meet him in a friendly state – the day will be fine. The latter happens more often, so Matt’s life is generally fine.

That situations continues, until he finally meets both brothers together.

Is it crazy that when Maz was describing DJ, my first thought was “Techie!!” Like, he could have easily hacked whatever needed to be hacked… just saying!

This blog did not and will not send requests for bitcoin donations.

There seems to be a virus or some sort of malware going around causing blogs to “send out” chat messages to blogs that they follow asking for help with the purchase of certain items through donations of seemingly small amounts using bitcoin and adds a link to the message.

The message goes as following (at least the first message I got went like this): “Hi there buddy. I need help, I’m trying to buy a laptop and I can’t afford it. I’m about 0.36$ short, and I’d really appreciate if you could help me and transfer some money to me via bitcoin using this *link*.”

The small details in the message seems to have a few variations with the greeting, amount and purchased item showing up in different variations from formal to friendly, from 0.016 to 2$ and from a phone case to a laptop among others.

The blogs that are affected send out the messages to blogs that they follow for a long time mostly, so you are most likely to receive the message from a long time, active follower whose name you might recognize or a mutual etc. The blogs that are affected are not spam bots but actual active followers who follow the recipient for months or years and most likely the blogger who “sent” the message is unaware of the message being sent.

DO NOT OPEN THE LINK.

Opening up the link will cause the virus to spread even more and infect your computer/mobile with any sort of malware.

If you have received a message of that sort from this blog please know that it was not sent by me or within my control and ignore/delete the message without clicking the link.

Edit:

To those worried because they received a message with a wallet code instead of a l8nk, there’s nothing to worry about. Tge wallet code is essentially tge equivalent of a bank account number. So unless you actually go and actively transfer from your wallet to theurs you’re safe. Opening the messages themselves is harmless.

The best way to know if you were affected is to simply go into messages and see if you sent a message like that to anyone, it will appear in the chat.

I personally recommend changing passwords just in case, even if you weren’t hit with the virus.
