A flash of red caught his eye. There weren’t that many red-heads around after all. “Hux! We need to discuss–” his vocoder voice cut off mid sentence as he finally got a decent look at the man. It wasn’t the General, but… “How…? Who are you?” he demanded. -kylocanyounot
Techie froze and felt ice run through his veins. Why is Kylo Ren, of all people, talking to him?! The blood is pulsing so hard in his ears that he doesn’t even know what the man is saying, and can only stare blankly at him.
“Um, ah,” he says, very intelligently.
And then bolts for the nearest exit.
Noting Ren’s odd tone, Techie asks, “Is it alr-right if I bring my friend Matt around to meet you one of these days? He th-thinks you’re really cool! I’ll bet he’d l-love to be your friend.”
Techie was already imagining the three of them becoming inseparable, like that ancient tale… The Three Musketeers? The name didn’t matter so much, only the idea. Ren looked lonely even on a good day, and Techie wanted so badly to help!
“Matt? And he works on board? I don’t see why I can’t meet him at least.
Was he even allowed to have friends? Was that too Light for him? He felt like a confused child.
“Wh-what’s the matter?” He didn’t want to say it out loud, but… Kylo looked constipated. Techie ran his hands soothingly up and down his arms in an attempt to smooth out his furrowed brows. “It looks like s-something’s bugging you.”

When Ren’s hand settles comfortingly on his shoulder, Techie practically melts. The weight of it is reassuring, and his skin is warm like sitting before a fireplace, all snug. He smiles wide before he can school his expression into something less lovestruck. “Nope. I n-never invite people over… You’re the f-first! Including you, I only h-have one other friend anyways. I don’t know who else I’d, ah, th-throw a party for.”

“YOUR party,” he corrects, eyes glued to Ren’s lips. “For you! Not f-for me.” Techie takes his strong hands and leads him shyly towards the edge of his bed. When he imagines what Ren must be thinking, he frantically clarifies, “Oh! I th-thought you might w-want to, um, s-sit down instead of standing for so l-long…”
Investigation by Midnight
“There w-were other Clan Techies before me. We all had the same name, but we gave each other n-n-nicknames. MaMa didn’t like keeping them, uh, around for long, s-said they were a liability. Towards the end, I was th-the… The only one left.”
Techie gave a shudder and furrowed his brows in thought. Who else did he know of? “MaMa’s right hand, Caleb, would h-have a lot of info to, uh, give but some J-Judges killed him.” He picked mercilessly at the skin around his fingers and rolled the leather interrogation room chair back and forth.
“ That’s bad for you to do, you know.”
though She wrote down what he mentioned, the names, some which rang a bell, upon catching the nervous habit, she dropped the pen and peered up to the nervous techie with a casual smile. In her attempt to comfort him.
“ Picking at the skin like that.. what are you worried about? Is this woman, ‘MaMa’, after you?”
Techie jumped at the observation and gave her a lopsided smile, slipping his hands under the desk and sitting on them. Embarrassed by his own stupid, destructive habits, he flushed bright red. “I know it is.” He swallowed hard and shook his head slowly. “I…I don’t even know if sh-she’s still alive,” he admits. “I ran out b-before I could know for sure.”
He watched the detective from under his orange eyelashes. She didn’t seem to be threatening. But working with MaMa had made him distrust people, women especially. His skin broke out in goosebumps just thinking about them. It was worse with her in the room.
“You might f-find it helpful to go check out Peach Trees, even though it’s und-der Judge control now. There could b-be some, um, evidence or something still th-there.” He twitches like he wants to get up and pace, or curl up into the chair.
At the forefront of his mind is a single thought: If he isn’t useful, they’ll throw him back out on the street, no matter what the detective says. So useful he’ll be, even if it kills him.

“Th-that’s when I’ll be able to sneak you out for good. Anything b-before that, and we, uh, run the risk of getting caught. You’ll have to trust me on this, okay?” He was already on edge; having Nao mistrust him too would make this unbearable. “For now, you’ll stay here. With me.”
Trust? How could she trust him? It was an impossible request she refused to fulfil. ‘No way will I trust you.’ She thinks to herself. Trusting no-one was by far a much safer option.
“It’s not like I can go anywhere else. Got a place I can hide in? A box will do.”
His eyes boggled. She was small, sure, but… a BOX? Still looking a little surprised, he said carefully, “Y-you can take my bed. I don’t sleep in it much anyways…” It was a lie, but a kind one. Nao was probably more exhausted than he was.

Encouraged by Ren’s response, he runs his lips teasingly over his, coaxing him forward. Ren’s lips are a little chapped, but they’re nice; HE’S so nice- to touch, to kiss, to have. A little hesitant, the tip of Techie’s tongue pokes out. He’s so warm in Ren’s arms…
Kylo follows his tease, moving closer into him so they won’t stop kissing. And then he feels the warm tip of Techie tongue, so small and sweet but so eager. He pulls him forward now, as close as he can, and kisses him deep, clumbsy, needy, and sweet all in one himself. There’s so much he want to say but can only show.
The sweet sensation of Ren’s tongue against his makes Techie’s knees weak. He isn’t sure where this will go but he’s certain of one thing: it’s very, *very* tempting to eat him up right here, right now. To lead him towards the bed and crawl over him, greedy. But maybe that’s too much too fast… Techie breaks them apart just enough to croon, “Where do we g-go from here?” against Ren’s mouth. Both their lips are kiss swollen, and Techie has never been so aroused in his life.
