“P-please! Don’t h-hurt me, I’ll, I’ll do anyth-thing!”

Kylo looked down at the man, he sneered a bit. He knelt down to his level and gave a small smirk “Anything? You mean that do you? What do you have to offer me, pathetic man?” he held his hair to make him look at him in the eyes.

The vaccuum makes a high-pitched suction sound and Techie scrambles to pull it out of the pipe. His gaze darts from Ren to the sonic and then back again.

“I was in a g-gang,” he says. “Not by choice. The l-leader, she- M-MaMa- scooped m-my eyes o-out like icecream w-with her own,” a shuddering sob, “Her own F-F-FUCKING FINGERS.”

His hands shake as he retracts the tube and tucks it into his toolbelt. “I didn’t earn th-them. They w-were a p-p-punishment.”

“So, you like Phasma then?” Hux nods and smiles slightly. “Take good care of her.” @general-gingerbowie

“Yes! I r-really, um, I m-mean… yes, I d-do,” Techie blushes. He’s turning so red someone might mistake him for one of those old-timey Earth fire extinguishers. “And I p-plan to,” he adds shyly, but looks up from the ground and fixes his gaze on his brother, brows furrowed. “But don’t y-you like her too?”

That bothers him more than anything. He knows Hux doesn’t have many good things in his life. Can Techie really go off to his own “happily ever after” with the girl of his brother’s dreams? SHOULD he?

“I’ll b-be in a s-suit, then,” Techie whispers, imagining himself all dressed up and dazzling Phasma. “Armie, you’ll h-help me pick something to w-wear, won’t you?” Techie’s getting into the idea of marriage after only dating for a few weeks.

Techie looks contemplative for a moment. “D-does she *like* tradition th-though? D’you kn-know?” Something about Phasma struck him as more of a non-traditional person.

Mitaka sighs defeatedly as his broken data pad breathes it’s last breath in the middle of his report to the general. Which is due in the morning. He grabs his communicator and puts in a request for a technician to come look at it.

Techie hadn’t been having a good day. Not at all. Matt was nowhere to be found, Hux was busy doing who knows what, and his supervisor, Leslie, absolutely hated his guts. Which was why he jumped at the chance to get away from the monotony (and Leslie’s whining), accepting a recently requested job he hadn’t even looked at.

The last thing he expected was to find himself outside Lieutenant Mitaka’s quarters and realize he left his toolbox…somewhere? But it was too late to go find it, he’d knocked on the door and now it was opening!

Techie stays perfectly still. His eyes focus on Mitaka’s forehead and then drop steadily down. “Uh,” he says, intelligently. “D-do that a-again,” Techie breathes, “I w-wasn’t totally c-c-convinced.” He turns a delightful pink.

Techie and Adeline Hux [Closed] [Part 3]

Techie flinched automatically and covered his eyes until the smoke cleared. He screamed when he saw Adeline on the ground looking small and frail, throwing himself down to his knees beside her and taking her into his arms.

“A-Addie,” he sobbed, pressing his nose into the crown of her head.

Techie’s rigid posture relaxed the tiniest bit, and he looked at Mitaka, wary. “Prove it h-how?” His heart felt like it was beating in his throat.

“So, you like Phasma then?” Hux nods and smiles slightly. “Take good care of her.” @general-gingerbowie

Realizing he’d been staring off into the distance, mouth gaping and eerily silent for much too long, Techie yelps, “Oh!” and buries his face in his hands.

“S-sorry, I think my brain sh-short c-circuit-t-ted,” Techie moans, trying to think of *anything* but Phasma in a wedding dress.

“Are you alright, do you need anything?” Hux asked, slightly oblivious

“Uh- n-no? I’m f-f-fine, really! B-but what if… Phasma w-wants *me* to wear the g-garter?” It was an amusing thought, and it made Techie come to his senses a little bit more.

Everything comes into startling clarity. Of course. Of course! Someone out there is playing a huge prank on him, because NO WONDER a superior officer -a Lieutenant no less- would want to hold his hand and look at Techie like he hung the stars in the sky.

“Ah, ha,” he says, sounding like he’s been punched; all air out from his lungs. He drops Mitaka’s hand. “L-let’s just focus on getting your d-datapad fixed,” he says through his pasted-on smile.

This hurts. This hurts so bad.

Because obviously nobody in their right mind would love him.
