I mentioned that Techie’s hair gets longer and longer in my art and she said it will end up in a Rapunzel AU 😀 Here we are!
@christoph-einar made me the surprise of actually drawing the Rapunzel AU Techie so of course I had to do the matching piece with Matt ! Thank you again Chris!! ( ˘ ³˘) ♥
my 333 follower fic giveaway promt as requested by @kiriequickly (@techiehux): an indulgent fluffy Techie fic? I think that boy just needs love and pampering, tbh. (i hope you like it!)
~~
Techie was sitting on the back of the couch, pushed up against the viewport, looking out at the stars. He was softly humming something while his big brother Armitage was swiping something on a datapad. They had had a lunch together–Techie knew his brother would continue working without eating if he wasn’t here, so it was an indulgence for them both; getting to spend time together during work hours.
And Techie knew very well, that Armitage always insisted on fresh produce to be delivered for these meals, letting Techie have the best pieces, whether it was fruit or fish.
After Techie had been rescued, Armitage had taken all his accumulated leave to spend time together, to help him heal. They had almost two months on Arkanis together; fishing on reading on some days, taking walks through the forests and along the many rivers. It was there, that Techie first saw Matt. After that it didn’t take long for Matt to show up again and again at their house, the old Hux estate.
Armitage had definitely run a background check on Matt, and probably had him followed, most likely threatened before letting him in Techie’s life. He could only admire his brother’s protectiveness over him.
Leaning away from the viewport, Techie shifted along the back of the couch until he was next to Armitage. Sliding down, he nestled right next to Armitage, taking his greatcoat from where it was tossed over the couch and using it as a blanked.
“You know I still have half a shift left. I’ll need it.” But there was nothing hard or unforgiving in the voice, just softness and Techie knew that the greatcoat would be staying right here with him.
“I like it more.” Techie said, pulling the black gaberwool fabric over his head and pushing at Armitage’s hand so he could lie down with his head in Armitage’s lap. When his brother started running a hand through his hair, Techie almost purred. An after-lunch nap sounded wonderful.
“I take it I’m staying here too?” Armitage asked, with a smile, looking down at his dearest brother, still carding through his hair.
Techie sighed softly and soon enough was asleep.
When he woke, he noticed that the lap he was sleeping on was a bit thicker and smelled much more familiarly. “Matty.” He whispered, realizing Armitage had stayed right there on the couch with him until Matt came back from his shift and they switched places. Techie knew that he would have woken up in fright if left alone.
“Hey sleepyhead.” Matt’s deep voice from above him. “Your brother said that he would be back for breakfast.”
Techie had to chuckle at that–so far they did only lunch together, but he was missing Armitage so much. His snuggling up to him must have tipped Armitage off and now they could spend more time together! “Will you join us too? You know he likes you.” Techie felt sometimes uneasy when he got to join Armitage and the fierce Kylo Ren for lunches, but being there with Matt would make it so much better.
“Of course, my love.” Matt whispered and leaned down to kiss him on the forehead. The kisses didn’t end there, travelling all across his face, targeting the nose and cheeks and finally mouth.
“I love when you call me that.” Techie said in between the kisses. Shifting around, he got fully on Matt’s lap, kissing him more. Matt right in front of him, giving him love, and Armitage’s greatcoat on his back, giving him security. It was the perfect state of being.
“My love. You are my dearest love.” Matt kept saying after each and every kiss.
Techie pouted. He refused to look Matt in
the eye, choosing instead to focus his whirring irises on the table in front of
him.
“Cream puff, are you even listening to me?”
Techie sniffed. He wiped his sleeve-covered
fist under his nose and pouted some more.
“Baby, you know you can’t do this anymore.
You know what’ll happen.”
Techie’s bottom lip began to tremble.
“I… It kills me to see you hurting.”
By the nail scraping back and forth along
the edge of the table Matt could tell. Techie was fidgeting himself to
resolution.
“Please, baby, for me. Please don’t do
this.”
Techie raised his chin, his eyes finally
meeting Matt’s. “I love you Mattie. You know that, right? It’s just… there’s one
thing, one, that I love more.”
“Please…” Matt whispered.
Techie picked up his spoon.
“No.”
He scooped up a mound of ice-cream, eyes never
leaving Matt’s.
“Please, baby.”
Techie licked his dry lips and held them
open, his tongue waiting. He brought the spoon up, fed it into his mouth,
wrapped his lips around it. His eyes fluttered closed and a visceral deep moan
of pleasure hummed through him as he drew the spoon out. He tipped his head
back and licked his lips, the red fall of his loose hair almost reaching the
floor now. He moaned again.
Matt watched the long white column of his
neck ripple as he swallowed the creamy sweetness down.
Techie moaned one last long, “Ohhh,
Mattie,” to the ceiling above and brought his hands to his belly.
“Already baby?” Matt crouched down by the
side of the chair and covered Techie’s bony knee with his hand.
“It’s so good Mattie.” Techie lolled his head
along the back of the chair. “It’s so good. I love it.”
“I know you do baby but…”
He was interrupted by another moan from
Techie. It was the moan Matt had come to recognize as the ever so complicated I regret everything, I regret nothing
moan.
“Stop me, Mattie.” Techie grasped at his
belly with one hand and brought another spoonful of ice-cream to his mouth. “Hurts
so good,” he garbled around the cold cream filling his mouth.
The bite marks on his hand from the last
time he’d tried to stop Techie were still healing. But Matt was determined to
help his boy, always, so he snuck his hand tentatively toward the bowl. It was
snatched away, a growling snarl transforming Techie’s sweet face.
“Okay, okay,” Matt held his hands up.
Techie hissed. “Mine.”
“I know baby, I know. How about I get you a
nice cosy hot pack for the aftermath instead.”
Techie narrowed his eyes and grunted before
his face slowly calmed into a smile. “’Kay, Mattie,” he said, and kept
shoveling the sweet sweet icy joy into his mouth.
Techie has a Masters in computer science and no particular wish to run the specialist bookstore he inherited from Brendol, but Armitage already has a successful career and they did both agree that it’d be a shame to shutter a business that was doing so well despite the economic climate.
Some people are surprised that the ‘blind’ brother was the one to take on the business, but contrary to popular belief Techie has retained about 20% of his vision. He can easily manage the financial side of the business with the help of screen reading software and luckily he has just enough vision to see that the nervous, awkward young man applying for the clerks job is really well build under his ill fitting clothes.
Matt isn’t the sort of person you’d expect to see in customer service. He’s too easily riled up, too quick to take offence, but Techie soon works out how to calm him with gentle reassuring touches to the back or shoulder, and Matt proves himself to be amazingly tenacious with suppliers. The bookstore soon gets a reputation as the best place for hard to find books because Matt will always get whatever the customer asks for.
The two of them enjoy working together, they develop an unspoken routine of morning coffees and lunchtime treats, working late just because they find pleasure in one another’s company but neither of them realising just how close they’re getting. At a local business owners gathering Techie hears someone talking about ‘the gay couple with the successful bookstore’ and he spends two weeks trying to work out who the competition is. It’s only when Matt takes a day off for dental work and a regular asks where Techie’s boyfriend is that it suddenly occurs to him. And that idea doesn’t sound half bad…
