Oh my gosh that would be perfect ❤

Phasma thinks that it makes Techie look even more adorable then he already is, and for the next date she takes him out to brunch, so they get to enjoy orange juice with curly straws together

“Yes! I r-really, um, I m-mean… yes, I d-do,” Techie blushes. He’s turning so red someone might mistake him for one of those old-timey Earth fire extinguishers. “And I p-plan to,” he adds shyly, but looks up from the ground and fixes his gaze on his brother, brows furrowed. “But don’t y-you like her too?”
That bothers him more than anything. He knows Hux doesn’t have many good things in his life. Can Techie really go off to his own “happily ever after” with the girl of his brother’s dreams? SHOULD he?
“I’ll b-be in a s-suit, then,” Techie whispers, imagining himself all dressed up and dazzling Phasma. “Armie, you’ll h-help me pick something to w-wear, won’t you?” Techie’s getting into the idea of marriage after only dating for a few weeks.

Techie looks contemplative for a moment. “D-does she *like* tradition th-though? D’you kn-know?” Something about Phasma struck him as more of a non-traditional person.

Realizing he’d been staring off into the distance, mouth gaping and eerily silent for much too long, Techie yelps, “Oh!” and buries his face in his hands.
“S-sorry, I think my brain sh-short c-circuit-t-ted,” Techie moans, trying to think of *anything* but Phasma in a wedding dress.
“Are you alright, do you need anything?” Hux asked, slightly oblivious
“Uh- n-no? I’m f-f-fine, really! B-but what if… Phasma w-wants *me* to wear the g-garter?” It was an amusing thought, and it made Techie come to his senses a little bit more.

“Oh, I have much more important things to attend to, like running the First Order,” he said. “Maybe I’ll catch the garter at your wedding.”
Whatever Techie had been about to say came out of his mouth as a useless gust of air.
“G-GAR-GARTER. WHA. I, UH,” he tried to recover his coherency but all he could see was Phasma’s muscular leg peeking out of a wedding dress with that frilly scrap of lace over her knee.
His mouth went totally dry. They had just started seeing each other and now Hux was talking about a wedding?

“I promise I w-will, Captain. As soon as I’m done f-fixing up this console! “You-know-who” s-smashed it again.”
Techie nodded in wordless sympathy, having had much experience in “escaping” from bad situations; whether it be from a gruesome place, a scary job, or somebody touching you when you’d rather they not.
“He saw a l-lot of greatness in y-you,” he said, while thinking: and I see it too. “I’m not crazy about s-some of the things Armitage does, but he m-made the best ch-choice when he asked for you, Phasma.”
